This Gospel is the first of a two-part work by Saint Luke. Gospel of Luke demonstrates how God's promises to Israel are fulfilled in Jesus and now extended to the Gentiles. The second part of his work is also known as the Acts of the Apostles. That book, combined with this one clearly shows that the Church is fully faithful to the teachings of Jesus Christ and continues His mission until He returns.
