The Apostle Paul's Letter to the Galatians is probably the first of his great letters to the early Churches. He is dealing with a growing crisis caused by a group of Jewish believers who were insisting that the Gentiles who came to believe in Jesus and were baptized, had to keep the entire Mosaic Law. This had been dealt with in the Council of Jerusalem (Acts 15:23-29) but was causing serious divisions in the early Church. Paul's masterful teaching on the truth about Christian Freedom is a prevalent theme in this letter and an essential teaching for all Christians today.
