In his first letter, or epistle to the Corinthians, Paul intended to address growing concerns in the Christian community he established in Corinth. In this letter, Paul addresses their concerns and provides them with guidance. He distinguishes between human wisdom and divine wisdom and gives instruction on the moral life, virtue, the Church, the Eucharist, and the Resurrection of the dead. The Apostle provides guidance we still use today. Chief among his concerns was factionalism within the Church, a problem which is still present today.
